  1. This is great…I especially love the custom logo used to identify the taco truck locations on the GoogleMap. Very well done and will prove to be very useful I’m sure for many people.

there was one near E Main & Nelson on Saturday. Can’t remember the name of it, but if I see it again I’ll let you know.

Anyone know what happened to the taqueria that was next to Ch4 on Olentangy? It was so close to home, I would make 2 trips at least a week.

I asked in the drive through (it was in their lot) and the guy told me that the truck owner had returned to Mexico. I believe there was some issue with the IRS or USCIS.

I loved this place, and when i found out about it closing, i literally cried. i would eat at this place 3-4 times a week. They were the nicest people in the world and made some awesome food. f*** the government.

The poor guy was stopped in his car last winter and deported. He had lived in the U.S. for years. It happens all the time, and often families are separated. Maybe this great website will be an opportunity for U.S. citizens to understand the constant injustices and fears the immigrants live with.

I’ve got a new one for you that just opened a block away from me yesterday. It’s a yellow truck called “The 8th Taste”, set up where Oakland Park Ave. hits Westerville Rd. Small menu, but good barbacoa and chicken tacos, 5 for $7.50. Let me know how/where, and I’ll send a pic.

El Taquorriendo on Allegheny off of James Road is excellent, cheap. Good for employees of the DSCC or the State of Ohio Air Center locations.

1] Would someone post their favorite vegetarian friendly taco trucks please..

2] Spotted new taco truck and did have lunch there- just south of Mound on Harrisburg Pike, west of downtown.

Tostadas Borrachas at Los Potosinos is the best dish I have found for vegetarians, but it is spicy. Pinto beans, cactus, cheese, sour cream, lettuce and hot sauce.
Most taco truck dishes are primarily meat based and the same grill is used for all cooking, so it depends how strictly vegetarian you are. Beans and rice are often cooked with animal fat or broth. A lot of trucks will make a cheese torta or quesadilla.

Junior’s tacos on 5th and Highland has vegetarian burritos, tacos etc… Again though, it is all probably cooked on the same grill as the meat but IDK. It didn’t bother me though and they were DELICIOUS!!!!

Saw a taco trailer/truck in the parking lot on 6/20-21 off the SW corner of the Roberts and Rome-Hilliard Rome intersection in the shopping plaza that used to be anchored by a Big Bear. It was a near a latin grocery mart.

There was a taco truck that used to chill at the corner of Olentangy River Road and Riverview Drive right next to the beer drive-thru. I’m not sure if it’s still there, but I can let you know.

Does anyone know where I can get a good breakfast burrito?

    • hungrywoolf

Most of the trucks don’t open until mid-morning/ lunchtime. I have seen some that advertise huevos rancheros and other breakfast foods, but haven’t tried any. It might be a good question to pose on the columbusunderground.com message board.

    • Breakfast Burritos from the non taco truck realm.

      Cucos – on Henderson Rd

      Starliner Diner – nothing finer…..

If we find a good Taco Truck Breakfast Burrito – we’ll write about it.

Thanks guys! I will check these out. I actually went to Cuco’s the other night for the first time and their food was amazing. I was craving some fish tacos 🙂 I can bet they have good breakfast food too. I am just now replying because I had forgotten I had asked this until recently reading this thread again! Thanks so much for this website. After living in AZ for ten years and being back home for almost five, I was dying for some food I was used too!

El Camioncito del Sabor has great saugage and egg burrito, especially Torta, is like a big Italian sandwich….soooooo good.

We just ate at Junior’s Tacos located at Highland and 5th Avenue. Delicious! You must go. Everything was fresh and not greasy. The seasoning was perfect and the salsa was outstanding.

I recommend that you add a map link to each of the individual “truck” pages. That would remove a lot of extra steps.

    • tacodrew

I hear ya, JK. There is a link to the map at the top of any given truck’s page (Taco Truck Map), but we haven’t figured out how to make it link to the specific location of any particular truck. Any ideas?

My co-workers and I ate at the “Taquikin (Taqueria y Loncheria Movil)” on Morse and Cleveland today (the one by Lev’s pawn shop). We noticed there was one across the street and 2 blocks East on Morse. At the time we assumed it was the “La Cocina Taco Express” that is listed on this site, but it wasn’t so I guess it is a new one.

We will probably try it out next week. Check it out and let us all know!

There is a great taco truck at the corner of Main and Livingston

Mariscos Las Islas was at Sullivant just west of where it crossed 270 until today. not sure where they moved to.

There is a new taco truck in Cincinnati called Senor Roy’s Taco Patrol. As you can gather from the name, it isn’t super authentic but one can try. Another one is rolling out at the begining of April, called Taco Azul. This one also doesn’t sound too authentic but I will report back once I try it.

New taco truck set up for the summer!

Don Pedro, in front of Spain Nightclub at the Continent on 161. Had a chicken, beef, and pastor taco, price for 3 tacos was $4.50 and they were excellent!! Full menu complete with tortas, burritos, and homemade fruit water and other juices.
